Emmaus Connect is a young association of the Emmaus Movement which aims to make telecommunications a lever insertion for people in difficulty. To do this, the association created its agenda Connexions Solidaires, to offer a complete solution to the problem of telecommunications! By offering solidarity prices to telecom offerings coupled with educational support, Solidarity Connections promotes access of the poor to telecommunications and the development of uses in a perspective of social and professional integration.

 

After 4 years of experience in Paris, the association has developed points of Accueil Connexions Solidaires in the region and especially in Grenoble for 2 years with 1700 beneficiaries received today. The volunteer will be hosted within a team of 5 employees (3 councilors connections Solidaires 1 seller Council and the operational manager) and volunteers.

 

 

 

General Objective of the mission: promote social and professional integration of disadvantaged people by helping them to access digital tools and to use thanks to the volunteer's participation in the connected hotlines development project (support to uses) in neighborhoods popular. Emmaus Connect is a young association of the Emmaus Movement which aims to make telecommunications a lever insertion for people in difficulty.
To do so, the association organized expertise of  complementary worlds (business, government, associations, academic, etc.) to provide appropriate responses and raise awareness of the growing challenge of digital inclusion.

 

Through its field program, Emmaus Connect brings five years of complete and innovative solutions for people in difficulty - solidarity offers, amenities and educational support - and thus promotes access of the poor to telephony and internet and development of uses in a perspective of social and professional integration.

 

To date, the program has welcomed nearly 17,000 people in its welcome centers in Paris, Saint Denis, Antony, Marseille, Grenoble, Lyon and Lille.
In parallel with a program of deployment in France, to help 100,000 people by 2017 to develop their digital potential, Emmaus Connect continues to develop innovative solutions for the poor.

 

 

Missions :

 

As part of the development of our activities and volunteer network with the aim to improve our impact to our beneficiaries, we propose the missions below a volunteer or a Civic Service.

Participation in various missions will allow the / the volunteer to have a global vision of the support offered to the beneficiaries of the program.
Initial training will enable him to better understand the issues associated with digital and ways to support and guide our beneficiaries about it.
Depending on the particular interests of the young, the tasks will be scalable in the Civic Service.

 

With the Paris or Saint-Denis team _ or with the support of the Operational Manager, the / Civic Service will be charged :

The volunteer will participate in council appointment with beneficiaries. In consultation with the local team and through the tools and best practices disseminated at the association, the volunteer will participate in the organization and facilitation of Permanences Connected.

 


He will be involved in different aspects related to the Permanences Connected:
- Logistics
- Contact point between the beneficiaries, volunteers, employees and possible outsiders
- Animation of this permanence through digital support tools
He will also participate in the recruitment and monitoring (integration, training, entertainment etc.) volunteers.
If necessary, it will also support the creation of links with digital structures of the territory.

According to the requirements of operational activity and interests of the person, the latter may participate in other missions of the reception point (support the current team, participating in activities to improve the reception public etc.)
